Te Paepae Ataata Charitable Trust is currently inviting applications for funding from Maori writers and film-makers to write and develop feature films.
The closing date for applications is Monday 19th April 2010. Additional submission rounds close on 12 July and 25 October 2010.
Applicants may apply for funding towards the cost of a mentor or other additional costs to assist in the development of a project. The level of funding will be determined by Te Paepae Ataata.
The Paepae are Ainsley Gardiner, Rawiri Paratene, Tainui Stephens, Merata Mita, and Kathryn Akuhata-Brown.

Te Paepae Ataata is an Incorporated Charitable Trust that has been operating since 2008. The purposes of Te Paepae Ataata are to:
- Identify and support Maori film-makers
- Nurture Maori cinema
- Develop select scripts to production readiness
- Celebrate the film voice of tangata whenua
